Frequently Asked Questions

Can we make adjustments to my estimate/package?


Absolutely! Your consultation will give me more information to create an estimate. Your estimate will break down all the costs to create the vision we discussed during your consultation. It’s my job to make your big dreams a reality OR to scale down your ideas to something manageable. Once you’ve received your custom estimate we can talk about any adjustments to better suit your needs.




How will the final images be chosen?


You came to us with a vision, it’s our job to make sure you get exactly what you’re looking for. You’re in charge of what images get released, although we are here to help too! Within 24 hours after your shoot is paid in full, you will receive a private, online gallery of proofs to select your favorite images for editing and digital release. Additional digital images can be purchased after reviewing the proofs. In Person Image Reveals are also available after your shoot (with lunch on me!). In Person Image Reveals will be discussed more during your consultation.




Where are you located?


My studio is located in Milwaukee, WI. Inside the Lincoln Warehouse off of 1st and Becher. Our address is 2018 S. 1st St. Suite 318 Milwaukee, WI 53207.




Do you provide props or different backdrops?


Different props and backdrop colors can be requested during your consultation.




Do you shoot in other locations?


Yes! I have equipment is transportable and I am able to shoot on location. The price of your package will vary depending on location(s). We charge a $1.50 per mile travel fee for sessions booked outside of Milwaukee County.




Can I order hard copies/prints?


For non commercial shoots, prints and hard copies can be purchased directly from your private online gallery. Commercial printing options can be discussed during your consultation.




How far ahead of time do I need to book and how much do I need to put down to hold my session?


Short answer, book your session as soon as possible. Your session date and time cannot be held until a 50% nonrefundable deposit is received and recorded. I recommend booking your session immediately to ensure I will be available on the day you need photography services. The remaining 50% of payment willbe due before our shoot day (custom payment plans prior to theshoot are available too).




What happens if our shoot runs late?


You know the saying “time flies when you’re having fun?” Well, photo shoots are fun and sometimes the time can slip away. If your session runs longer than 10 minutes past your initial end time, there is a $500/hour OT fee. We will keep you informed as the end of our session approaches. Overtime is only available if we have no other previous engagements.




What are acceptable forms of payment?


Our invoices are sent via Square and can be paid with a credit/debit card, cash, check or ACH payment. For invoices over $400 we ask that you please pay with cash or check or pay a 4% additional processing fee for credit/debit transactions

How and when will I recieve my images?


This depends on how many images you are getting edited for released. For portrait sessions, you will receive your final images via a private online gallery within 1-2 weeks of selecting and paying for your images. For events and lifestyle shoots, you will receive your finished gallery within 30 days. From your online gallery you can download the high resolution images to your computer, share the album with your team, friends and family, order prints and more!

Can I bring someone along to my shoot?


Support is everything. You’re welcome to bring 1 support person along for your shoot - I encourage you to bring your biggest hype person, you know the type…we love the hype!




Do you have a package list?


We like to do things a little bit differently at Jamie Robarge Photography. Every inquiry is treated with a unique consultation allowing me to learn more about you and your vision for your session. After our consultation I sit down to figure out logistics and pricing. A few things I consider include, where we will be shooting and how much time we will need, what equipment will be necessary to use and how much editing your final digital photographs will require. Headshot sessions start at $175 and portrait session pricing begins at $555.




What can I expect from my final images?


Final images released are high quality JPEG edited images. The images are delivered to you in an online, private client gallery. I make general global editing such as balancing shadows, highlights and ensure the exposure is appropriate. Images from a portrait sessions (non lifestyle and event) will have general selective editing such as removing small blemishes and any spots or small stains on clothing (accidents DO happen!). Custom post production such as high end retouching on skin or removing objects from the image can be extensive and timely. If your lifestyle, event session or portrait session requires extensive retouching, we charge an additional fee depending on the image.




What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?


We understand that things happen. A lot goes in to production on our end even before that first click of the camera. In the event of a client cancellation or emergency, the client will not be refunded for their deposit but will be granted a date of rescheduling with a $150.00 penalty fee.
