Frequently Asked Questions

How do you determine which services are best for me?


After learning more about you and your vision for your session, I sit down to figure out logistics. Things I consider include, how much time we will need to photograph, where we will photograph, what equipment will be necessary to use and how much time I’ll spend editing your final digital photographs.




Can we make adjustments to my estimate/package?


Absolutely! Your consultation will give me more information to create an estimate. Your estimate will break down all the costs to create the vision we discussed during your consultation. We can make necessary adjustments on your estimate as needed.




What type of editing can I expect on my final images?


Final images released are always digital and high quality JPEG images. I do not release RAW images unless otherwise discussed. I make general global editing such as brightening the shadows, correcting the highlights and making sure the exposure is balanced. The images will also have general selective editing such as removing small blemishes and any spots or small stains on clothing (accidents happen!). Custom post production such as high end retouching on skin or removing objects from the image can be extensive and timely. If your project requires this type of retouching, let’s chat about it more in your consultation.




How will the final images be chosen?


No one knows the best images from your shoot better than you. That’s why you’re in charge of what images get released. Within 24 hours after your shoot is paid in full, you will receive a private, online gallery of proofs to select your favorite images for editing and digital release. Additional digital images can be purchased after viewing the proofs and if you need help determining your best images, I would love to help.




Where are you located?


My studio is located in the Lincoln Warehouse off of 1st and Becher in Milwaukee, WI. Our address is 2018 S. 1st St. Suite 318 Milwaukee, WI 53207.




Do you provide props or different backdrops?


Different props and backdrop colors can be requested during your consultation.




Do you shoot in other locations?


Yes! My equipment is transportable and I am able to shoot on location. The price of your package will vary depending on location(s).




Can I order hard copies/prints?


For non commercial shoots, prints and hard copies can be purchased directly from your private online gallery. Commercial printing options can be discussed during your consultation.




How far ahead of time do I need to book and how much do I need to put down to hold my session?


Short answer, book your session as soon as possible. Your session date and time cannot be held until a 50% nonrefundable deposit is received and recorded. I recommend booking your session immediately to ensure I will be available on the day you need photography services. The remaining 50% of payment will be due on the day we shoot.




What happens if I have to cancel?


I understand that things happen. A lot goes in to production on my end even before that first click of the camera. In the event of a client cancellation or emergency, the client will not be refunded for their deposit but will be granted a date of rescheduling with a $150.00 penalty fee.




What happens if our shoot runs late?


You know the saying “time flies when you’re having fun?” Well, photo shoots are fun and sometimes the time can slip away. If your session runs longer than 10 minutes past your initial end time, there is a $500/hour OT fee. I will keep you informed as the end of our session approaches. Overtime is only available if I have no other previous engagements.




What are acceptable forms of payment?


Our invoices are sent via Square and can be paid with a credit/debit card, cash, check or ACH payment. For invoices over $400 we ask that you please pay with cash or check or pay a 5% additional processing fee for credit/debit transactions

How and when will I recieve my images?


This depends on how many images you are getting edited for released. For sessions with 30 or less photographs, you will receive your final images via an online gallery called Pixieset within 1 week of selecting and paying for your images. For larger jobs you will receive your finished gallery within 30 days. From Pixieset you can download the high resolution images to your computer, share the album with your team, friends and family, order prints and more!

Let me start by saying, welcome! If this is your first time ever hiring a professional photographer or just your first time working with me, you came to the right place. My business is based on communication, collaboration and client satisfaction. The best way to achieve that, is to start with a complimentary consultation. We will go over your needs, ideas for your shoot and make a game plan. You are busy, I get it so there’s a few ways we can go about your consultation. How do I prepare for my shoot?


After booking your session I will send you a guide with all the 101’s on how to prepare for your session. Have questions that aren’t covered in the guide? Never hesitate to reach out to me, I am here for you and want you to get the most out of your session.




Can I bring someone along to my shoot?


Support is everything. You’re welcome to bring 1 support person along for your shoot - I encourage you to bring your biggest hype person, you know the type…we love the hype!
